I picked up dried morel mushrooms from Reading Terminal Market during my trip to Philly last month.

I have no idea what to make with them.  I’m a competent, but certainly not highly-skilled, chef.  Risotto is the first thing that comes to mind (and is the first thing that comes to mind for everyone I ask).  Risotto is tasty but boring.  I want to make something exciting and exotic, but not bizarre.  Roasted Prawns with Morels and Morel Butter appears to be within my skill (and patience) range.  Grilled Salmon with Morel Vinaigrette is also a possibility.  Chicken with Morels has a boring name, but the recipe is reviewed very highly and doesn’t appear to be too difficult.

Recommendations, ideas, and general commentary from the peanut gallery is most welcome.

    Risotto is so good, though! It’s not pedestrian!! I would kill a puppy for mushroom risotto.
